This is so pretty! I do have an event this weekend and accessorize with scarves more often than not, especially this time of the year. I haven’t decided what to wear yet but your site is giving me lots of inspiration! Thanks for linking up with me today. Glad to have found you.
Lovely, but how long would it take me to open the clutch whenever I want to get my Chanel lipstick out of it for “une petite retouche?” Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
Lipstick in the pocket, Véronique! The clutch is just for glam…
Think about all these famous women who show up for events or interviews with a tiny purse or no purse at all. They must have a secret pocket somewhere…
If you don’t have pockets, then you would have to keep your lipstick in your shoes or in your bra (like all the good female secret agents)! For more ideas, watch the movie “True Lies”
Good luck Pam. A clutch is not really appropriate for working… But you can still have a scarf wrapped around the handles of your week purse.
I know you have had a tough week and I wish you the very best. Hope everything gets hopefully more quiet…
There are many ways to play with a scarf and a clutch. It’s a great way to revamp at no cost a classic clutch one usually doesn’t use often. I am glad you enjoyed the idea, Brett.
What about wrapping it lengthwise around the top half that flaps over the bag? That way you could open it easily and still have your beautifully scarf-adorned clutch. Qu’en penses-tu ma belle?
dearest M-T, the style you describe is a great one too – and much more convenient to reach one’s lipstick! to our friend Véronique. It can be done with a 36 x 36 scarf folded diagonally (the clutch turns then into a shoulder bag) or a 36 x 36 scarf folded horizontally (then the clutch turns into a handbag). It all depends on how you like to wear a bag and on how big the clutch is. If the clutch is small, a short strap is better I think.
Nous voilà prêtes pour partir à l’opéra, n’est-ce pas ma chère?
What a super idea to glam up an outfit, I’ll have to remember that for my next glam event, which these days seem to be few & far between. Enjoy your weekend.
Always happy to share ideas and tips with scarf lovers, Barbara! I am sure you will find an opportunity to soon try this style and I can’t wait to see photos of you and your glammed up clutch on your blog
Enjoy your weekend too dear!
Thanks for your comment, Melissa I love to share ideas and tips… That’s the purpose of this blog: to have fun and to be creative wearing scarves. I hope to see photos of you wearing your scarf this way.
Enjoy your party tonight!

I have put scarves on my bags, but never thought about wrapping one around a clutch
Pretty cute
