Is a scarf and a hat too much or do you think it’s a nice pair?

Grace Kelly: the Princess of Scarves

Scarves and hats are perfect together; however, one must dominate. You cannot have them fighting each other for attention. For example, a large-brimmed hat and a smaller scarf tied close to the neck is perfect. With a small-brimmed hat, or cloche, you can wear a more extravagant scarf.
Beautiful post, comme d’hab.
Gros bisous, M-T
Wise words, very dear fashion coach! I agree that a cloche is a perfect choice when wearing a hat. Make me think of all these lovely ladies in the roaring twenties who used to often wear a hat and a scarf…
BB (Bizzzz back)
They make a nice combo I wear all the time. Especially or sun protection!!
I remember a nice photo of you with your hat and your scarf – when you were driving back home. You are the beautiful proof that one can wear both with elegance…
Love your post picture. I’m wearing hat & scarf together mainly for warmth at the moment, but try to colour co-ordinate, or wear a black cloche style with a broach pinned on it & a bright scarf. For summer I choose a cotton crochet type.
I am sure you look terrific with your cloche and a bright scarf, Barbara. This touch of retro style is very romantic…
Not unreasonable to wear both provided they compliment each other
As often it’s a question of right balance. You said it Ann, it’s all about finding the right way to complement the colors and style of these two fabulous accessories.
Yes, I like it!
I can picture you, Tereza, in the middle of vast snow fields with a faux fur hat and a faux fur scarf (I am still under the influence of the movie Anna Karenina that I saw recently).
Stay warm
I think this combination looks great and works well together. I like her gloves too.
And it’s the cognac color harmony…… the colors you love….
Definitely a great combination here and I love the neutrals and 70s feel.

When we don’t know which color we should adopt, we should always go neutral. Safe, classic and very sophisticated…
I absolutely adore this whole look!
Cheers,
Laura
Then, get ready Laura. Jump out of your colorful dress and go neutral for the coming winter!
Cheers
More than happy to…once the weather cools that is!
But it doesn’t need to just yet.
I’d be happy with a few more weeks of heat.
Cheers,
Laura
